Meet the Leadership Team
Chief Executive Officer
Matt Leone joined automotiveMastermind (aM) as the Chief Operating Officer and has transitioned to the role of Chief Executive Officer effective April 1, 2022. As Chief Operating Officer, he oversaw the operations, finance, and HR departments of the company. Additionally, Leone managed the internal organization of the company to create an inclusive and supportive culture and set goals to scale the company to the next level.
Leone has strong leadership experience and a broad background in the Software as a Service (SaaS) space. Prior to joining Mastermind, Leone was the Chief Operating Officer for HotSchedules, a software service providing HR services for the hospitality industry. His career spans mid-sized and large public organizations, as well as private equity backed companies.
He holds a Bachelor of Finance from The University of Arizona. Leone is a loving father to three boys who enjoys spending his free time playing baseball and going on runs.
Leone joined Mastermind in 2020 and works out of the company’s New York City headquarters.
Chief Operating Officer / Chief Financial Officer
Marina Angelides is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for automotiveMastermind (Mastermind) where she oversees the company’s strategic plans to improve efficiency and profitability, as well as implementing policies to promote company culture and vision. Marina brings 20+ years of financial, M&A and operations experience in private and publicly owned companies, with a focus in SaaS, technology and data information services.
Marina received her Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Hofstra University and began her career in the startup technology space which continued into the audit and attestation practice at Ernst & Young. Throughout the course of her career, Marina has worked to build scalable infrastructures, improve working capital and unite the broader organizational initiatives both financially and operationally. Joining Mastermind in 2017, her insight and experience were essential in determining Mastermind’s early stages of growth.
Marina currently resides in Long Island, New York and has 2 daughters, Iliana and Kassia. As a cancer survivor, she has endured adversity to draw emphasis on what really matters in life. Marina has survived life's challenges by prioritizing health and finding balance with work, family and friends. Marina tries to set an example for her daughters to challenge themselves through adversity to grow in whatever career they choose. Marina enjoys spending time coaching her daughters lacrosse team and playing competitive soccer.
Chief Revenue Officer
Michael Eager is the Chief Revenue Officer for automotiveMastermind (Mastermind) where he will oversee new business, customer retention, account management, enablement, and marketing. He is also responsible for Mastermind’s go-to-market strategy.
Prior to joining the aM team, Eager worked at CARFAX (also part of S&P Global Mobility) as the director of field sales and was instrumental in the launch of many products and growth of the sales business. In his 17 years of experience at CARFAX, he led the growth of the national field sales teams through both management and strategic sales leadership positions. Eager also previously held sales positions at tech start-ups and consulting companies, giving him a passion and expertise in launching new businesses and leading high-performing automotive sales teams.
Eager holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Villanova University. He lives in Virginia with his wife and 5 children.
Chief Product Officer
Aaron Baldwin is the Chief Product Officer for automotiveMastermind (Mastermind) where he will oversee the product roadmap and strategy, supporting a team of directors specializing in product, product marketing, integrations, and analytics.
Before joining aM, Baldwin served as senior vice president of product and business development at CarNow. He was a member of the founding management team and oversaw development of OEM, large client and partner relationships, as well as product development and product lifecycle management. Baldwin also previously served as director of digital marketing at eLEAD and worked in various positions at Asbury Automotive Group, including director of dealership marketing, giving him insight into dealership operations that currently help him support aM’s dealer partners.
He holds a bachelor of Liberal Studies from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Baldwin is a proud father who enjoys spending his free time with his wife and three children.
Chief Technology Officer
Kos Jha is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at automotiveMastermind (Mastermind) and is responsible for managing the company’s technology and global engineering teams, while closely aligning with the product organization.
Jha’s experience in the technology industry spans more than 27 years, joining Mastermind from S&P Global Market Intelligence where he was CTO for client-facing platforms and analytics products. Jha led large global teams to adopt modern cloud-native architectures and big data and analytics technologies to deliver growth and transformation. Prior to that he worked at Ernst & Young in management consulting to lead IT strategy and implementation, and at Honeywell as a Technology Manager to build software products.
Jha holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Bangalore University in India, and both a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Cincinnati. When he’s not working he enjoys outdoor sports and is an avid scuba diver.
Co-Founder and Advisor
Marco Schnabl is Co-Founder of automotiveMastermind (aM), the leading provider of predictive analytics and marketing automation technology for the automotive industry. Marco Schnabl served as CEO from 2012 to March 31, 2022.
In his role, Schnabl leads sales, service and operations for Mastermind, which has nearly doubled its employee count in the last year. Schnabl co-founded Mastermind with Johannes Gnauck in 2012.
After more than a decade as a topperforming Mercedes-Benz salesmen, Schnabl and Gnauck recognized the need for a more sophisticated technology that leveraged data and improved the automotive retail experience for both buyers and sellers. Their intricate understanding of the industry helped them develop a technology that is transforming the sales process.
Mastermind empowers sales teams with key insights and valuable information on its top prospects by utilizing its proprietary algorithm to generate a Behavior Prediction Score® (BPS). As a result, Mastermind is now a leading predictive analytics and marketing automation technology for thousands of dealer partners.
Schnabl’s late father worked in the automotive industry for more than 40 years. Following in his footsteps, Schnabl was with Mercedes-Benz both in Germany and at its flagship location in Manhattan for more than ten years. During that time, he held a variety of roles, including Sales Consultant, Sales Manager and Manager for Strategic Retail Development.
Schnabl is a graduate of the Berlin School of Economics and holds a Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration, Management and Operations.
Schnabl works out of Mastermind’s New York City headquarters.
